▪︎ Bio: Evan McLaughlin is a visual artist and educator from the Midwestern United States. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Michigan in 2010, and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Iowa in 2015.

▪︎ Statement: “My work reflects on the modern era as both an imagined period of change from the industrialized past, as well as a directly perceived reality distinguished by the nascent digital revolution and looming threat of environmental collapse. Through drawings, paintings, and prints loosely framed around the recurring motifs of storms and sparsely populated gardens, I investigate arcs of technological progress in order to speculate on what might emerge from their hypothetical conclusions.”
