Description: c. (circa) responds to the prioritization of images over words in digital communication methods. Using a mash of references (cave paintings, hieroglyphics, gaming icons, and emojis), the markings spell out grids of ‘symbol letters’, which convey fundamental aspects of human experience and call into question basic presumptions of modern progress.
